In the case of home renovation and construction, the saying "No news is good news" does not apply. I have not blogged in over two months because we saw no progress for over two months. One day, when we've healed from the stress of this latest delay, maybe I'll blog about it. For now, we have fallen back into the habit of driving out of our way in order to not go by the house. Today, the recommencement of work has me just hopeful enough to write a few lines.
I went by this evening to take a look and I met Elman who has spent the day staining the interior of the windows. They're looking great! I spent a minute chatting with Elman and letting him know how much we appreciate his work. To stress how happy we are to see him, I told him how long it's been since anyone has been working on site. I even told him the story of Trey living on the porch.
Elman smiled and then told me his own cuento of the surprise he found when he arrived to the house at 7:00am this morning.
Trey is back.
