Slow and Steady wins the Race!

From the first meeting with our builders, they have told us about their amazing custom cabinet guy.  He's so amazing that he's gotten super busy which, of course, resulted in the most recent delays.  Last week, though, while Maya and I were in DC visiting my parents, the cabinets began to go in!  The walls, trim, and closets have been painted.  The beams are going up in the living room and screened porch and today the bathroom floor tiles are getting finished up!  On another day I'll share more of the unbelievable hiccups that have happened at every single step along the way. But for today, let's look at the pictures of the good stuff!!!
Kitchen cabinetry going in!  There will be an apron front sink in front of the windows.
Last night we noticed that they've also finished the floating shelves by the kitchen windows.

May won't remember just how much time she once spent on a construction site!
Sean and I customized two bathroom floors

It was a hot day of work, but we all stayed in good spirits!

Here's the guest bathroom floor design. Will be installed today!

These cabinets will be on either side of the entrance to the dining room and will have open shelves above.

The living room ceiling is almost done!  There have been issues getting the right stone for the fireplace, but it should arrive next week!

The laundry room tile is the same as the master bedroom tile, just in a different color. We'll be tiling the counter on the cabinets in here.

The wainscot will be painted white to match the trim.

That little nook will be for my bubble bath right next to the clawfoot tub! :)

Maya's bathroom floor tile will be finished today!

The front porch stone is going in!
